Understanding task statuses

Tasks and task items have different statuses that indicate their current state in the pipeline. Understanding these statuses helps you monitor progress and identify issues.

Task-Level Statuses

These statuses apply to the entire task:

• Created:Task has been created but hasn't started processing yet
• Generating Locations:GPT is generating the list of locations/themes based on your task name (for Travel, Food, Car Poster types)
• Processing Items:Task is actively processing individual items through the pipeline
• Completed:All items have finished processing successfully
• Failed:Task encountered errors that prevented completion
• Cancelled:Task was manually cancelled and deleted

Task Item Statuses

These statuses apply to individual items within a task:

• Pending:Item is queued and waiting to start processing
• Generating Image:AI is generating the poster image for this item
• Creating Mockup:Mockup images are being generated (may show progress like "3/4" completed)
• Posting to Etsy:Listing is being created and published to Etsy (may show sub-steps: "Writing", "Uploading", "Publishing")
• Completed:All steps finished successfully—image generated, mockups created, and listing published
• Failed:An error occurred during processing (can be retried)
• Retrying:Item is being retried after a previous failure

Progress Indicators

In addition to status badges, you'll see:

• Progress Bar: Overall percentage complete for the entire task
• Checkmarks: Green checkmarks indicate completed steps (Image Generated, Mockup Created, Posted to Etsy)
• Mockup Count Badge: Number badge on image thumbnails showing how many mockups are ready
• Error Messages: Red error text explaining what went wrong for failed items

Status Colors

Status badges use color coding for quick recognition:

• Blue: Created, Generating Image
• Yellow: Generating Locations, Posting to Etsy
• Purple: Processing Items, Creating Mockup
• Green: Completed
• Red: Failed
• Orange: Retrying
• Gray: Pending, Cancelled

What to Expect

Typical task progression:

1. Task starts as "Created"
2. Moves to "Generating Locations" (if applicable)
3. Changes to "Processing Items" as items begin processing
4. Individual items move through: Pending → Generating Image → Creating Mockup → Posting to Etsy → Completed
5. Task becomes "Completed" when all items finish

Processing times vary based on AI model selection, number of mockups, and destination publishing speed. Most items complete within 2-5 minutes.
