How to use tasks
Tasks are Artomate's powerful automation feature that handles the entire poster creation pipeline from start to finish. With tasks, you can generate multiple posters, create mockups, and publish listings to Etsy or Shopify—all automatically.

What Tasks Automate
When you create a task, it automatically handles:
- Image Generation: Creates AI-generated poster images based on your prompt and selected template
- Mockup Creation: Generates professional mockup images showing your posters in realistic frames
- SEO Optimization: Automatically generates optimized titles, tags, and descriptions for better discoverability
- Listing Creation: Publishes completed listings directly to your Etsy or Shopify store
The Task Pipeline
Each task processes items through these stages:
- Generating Locations: If you're using Travel, Food, or Car Poster types, GPT generates a list of locations or themes based on your task name
- Image Generation: For each location/theme, an AI image is generated using your selected model and template
- Mockup Creation: Each generated image is processed through your selected PSD frames to create mockup images
- Etsy/Shopify Publishing: Mockup images are uploaded along with AI-generated SEO content to create listings in your store
Getting Started
To use tasks:
- Navigate to Tasks: Go to the Tasks page from the main navigation
- Create a Task: Click "Create Task" and fill in the form with your preferences
- Monitor Progress: Watch your task progress in real-time as items are processed
- Review Results: Once complete, view your generated images and published listings
Task Components
When creating a task, you'll configure:
- Task Name: Describes what you want to create (e.g., "Popular Holiday Places", "Spicy Asian Dishes")
- Poster Type: Choose from Travel, Food, Yayoi Kusama, Van Gogh Poster, Car Poster, or Custom Prompts
- Quantity: How many posters to generate (up to 50 per task)
- AI Model: Select which AI image generation model to use
- Destinations: Choose where to publish (Etsy, Shopify, or both)
💡 Pro Tip
Start with a small quantity (5-10 posters) to test your settings before running larger tasks. This helps you verify that your templates, AI model, and destination settings work as expected.
