How do I cancel my paid plan?

Step-by-step instructions to cancel your subscription

Canceling your paid plan is straightforward. You can do it at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal, and you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Step 1: Navigate to Billing Settings

Log in to your Artomate account and click on your profile icon in the top right corner. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings". In the Settings sidebar, click on "Billing".

Step 2: Open the Customer Portal

On the Billing & Payments page, scroll down to the action buttons at the bottom of the Subscription Plan card. Click the "Manage Billing" button. This will open the Stripe Customer Portal in a new browser tab.

Note: The "Manage Billing" button may show "Opening..." briefly while the portal session is being created. The Stripe Customer Portal will open in a new tab automatically.

Step 3: Cancel Your Subscription

In the Stripe Customer Portal, you'll see options to manage your subscription. Look for the "Cancel subscription" option or button. Click it and follow the prompts to confirm your cancellation.

What you'll see in the Stripe Portal:

  • Your current subscription details
  • Payment method information
  • Billing history and invoices
  • Option to cancel your subscription
  • Option to update your payment method

Step 4: Confirm Cancellation

Stripe will ask you to confirm your cancellation. You may also be asked to provide optional feedback about why you're canceling. Once confirmed, your subscription will be canceled immediately.

What Happens Next

  • Immediate Effect: Your subscription is canceled immediately
  • Access Until Period End: You'll continue to have full access to all features until your current billing period ends (shown as "Next billing" date on your billing page)
  • No Further Charges: You won't be charged for the next billing cycle
  • Confirmation Email: You'll receive an email from Stripe confirming the cancellation
  • Status Update: Your subscription status on the billing page will update to reflect the cancellation

Reactivation

If you change your mind before your billing period ends, you can reactivate your subscription. Go back to the Billing page and click "Change Plan" or "View All Plans" to select a plan and reactivate your subscription.

Tip: You can also reactivate through the Stripe Customer Portal by clicking "Manage Billing" again and selecting to resume your subscription.
